The Stitch Academy returns to Hackney Walk, E9, London’s luxury outlet district, with another stellar line up of creative workshops, talks and fashion masterclasses from Saturday 25 March 2017.

Created by Hackney Walk as an important part of their Corporate Social Responsibility programme, the Stitch Academy aims to inspire Londoners to find out more about the fashion industry.

These exclusive opportunities will allow attendees to try out their skills under the guidance of London’s most prevalent and exciting designers and creatives all for free.

Opening the Stitch Academy this time around is Fashion East designer Mimi Wade, who will be inviting participants to explore her cute, rainbow world with a workshop in Fashion Illustration whilst rising star Ashley Williams will host a Print Design Workshop, using her fun trademark graphics as reference.

Christopher Raeburn will be offering an insight into recycling and sustainability with a ‘tote-tastic’ workshop in designing and making your own unique bag whilst Caitlyn Price will be sharing her sports luxe aesthetic with a Contemporary Womenswear Design Class.

Milliner Piers Atkinson returns with his popular Headwear Design Workshop meanwhile, menswear designer renowned for her diversity and innovation, Grace Wales Bonner will be hosting a Concept & Research Workshop.

Other events include; Textile Design with Fyodor Golan, an Editorial Workshop with fashion culture title i-D Magazine and Fashion Blogging 101 with super influencer Susie Bubble.

The series, which has once again been curated by acclaimed Fashion Stylist Louby Mcloughlin will be running for five consecutive weekends from Saturday 25 March – 29 April 2017.

USC – the ultimate ‘House of Brands’ retailer is opening a new concession inside the Sports Direct store in Aintree on Ormskirk Road.

The concession will offer trend focused customers a selection of the season’s on trend branded denim, urban fashion, accessories and footwear. The new USC space boasts the ultimate shopping experience with an extensive range of unrivalled brands and exclusive products.

sports directThe USC department will occupy 6,049 sq. ft inside the current 32,238 sq. ft Sports Direct store.

A spokesman for USC said: “We’re delighted to be opening our new concession inside Aintree Sports Direct, and are looking forward to welcoming customers to the USC experience”

The shop will stock brands including Jack & Jones, Tommy Hilfiger, Converse, Calvin Klein, G-Star, Lacoste, Armani, Luke and Pretty Green.

The store will open its doors to the public on Wednesday 15th March (TBC).

During spring/summer 2017 Weekday will open its inspirational store concept in both the UK and France. Weekday is a modern and mindful fashion and denim brand covering current, international fashion for women and men.
