Moroccanoil®, the global leader in oil-infused beauty products, announces its partnership with Portuguese supermodel Sara Sampaio as the brand’s new Beauty Ambassador. Sampaio embodies the style, beauty and confidence that inspires the Moroccanoil brand’s luxurious, performance-driven and easy-to-use hair and body products. She makes her debut as the face of the brand’s new print and digital advertising campaign shot by top photographer Norman Jean Roy.
Discovered at age 15 during a modeling contest in Portugal, Sampaio was soon praised as the “eighth wonder of the world” by Portuguese GQ, and now boasts 4.7 million Instagram followers. She has attained global prominence as a ‘Victoria’s Secret Angel,’ and as the first-ever Portuguese model to appear in the prestigious Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
Now 25 years old, living in New York City, Sampaio regularly appears in top magazines such as Vogue and Elle,and on the Fashion Week runways for high-profile designers, such as Balmain, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Missoni and Marc Jacobs. She is also an active volunteer for Save the Children, an international non-governmental organization that promotes children’s rights, provides relief and helps support children in developing countries.
The new Moroccanoil advertising campaign featuring Sampaio brilliantly captures her beauty at every angle with a mirrored backdrop that showcases the splendor of the Mediterranean. Her glamorous hair looks for the shoot were created by celebrity stylist Renato Campora, who counts Jessica Chastain, Margot Robbie and Jennifer Connelly as clients. The new Moroccanoil print advertisements will be appearing in publications, such as Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, InStyle, and Glamour.
