Samsonite x The Blonde Salad

Italian fashionista Chiara Ferragni (The Blonde Salad) has it all: she is smart, stylish, beautiful and a successful business woman. She’s the world’s favourite fashion blogger and super-discerning when it comes to fashion and design. So partnering with Samsonite was a natural decision.

prod_col_87283_1627_frontChiara travels a lot, and without a doubt she travels in style. Her destinations are always glamorous and her accessories are fashionable and made to withstand her demanding travel schedule. So it’s easy to explain her latest partnership with Samsonite: together they have designed a limited edition suitcase, exclusively available via shop.theblondesalad.com. Only 100 pieces have been made, so it’s no surprise that the scramble to buy them is expected to be intense. Chiara’s Instagram-followers have already had a sneak preview of the case.

Samsonite luggage is known worldwide for its timeless style and rugged reliability. The model chosen for this collaboration is our highest-quality, most-desired Cosmolite range, made with the revolutionary Curv® material. Exceptionally lightweight, it offersprod_col_87283_1627_interior outstanding impact resistance, has four multi-direction spinner wheels, and a fixed combination lock for added security. The Limited Edition version comes in exclusive white, scattered with fun patches reflecting Chiara’s own style. Exclusive, fashionable and seriously practical, this is the case everyone will want to own this season.

Cosmolite Limited Edition exclusively available at shop.theblondesalad.com as of November 2016.

Milan Fashion Week Street Style

Milan Fashion Week, the home of the chic, and the cheeky. Home to tongue-in-cheek luxury brand Moschino, the street stylers are a bit partial to a novelty accessory or two, giving even some of the classiest looks a fun, quirky finish.

My new fave, Chiara Ferragni, is looking super cool in her skinny leather dungarees. Nope, I wouldn’t go there either, but she pulls it off effortlessly, and if you do want to try your hand at this look, Designers Remix at Selfridges do have this rather snazzy pair available. Doubling up her leathers, this camel jacket adds a sophisticated edge to the look, while her Moschino teddy print jumper and scarf add some humour to her ensemble. I love that she’s kept the same tonal colours throughout – from her sunnies to her booties – keeping the overall look chic rather than comedic.

These two fashionable ladies are rocking the check trend, showing us how to do it head to toe in style. Both looks are so graphic – Anna Fasano in an ombre effect with a cosy roll neck underneath, and Italian Grazia’s Gilda Ambrosio in a bold, even grid print. Zara have a great pair of checked cigarette pants for a simple, streamlined look. I would wear these with an oversized shirt in a contrasting sized check, switching up the proportions, or clash them with spots or stripes (such as this number from Zara) for a graphic mash-up. One might think they’d deliberately co-ordinated outfits, with their green jacket cover-ups, too! Fasano has gone chic in a rich jewel tone, accessorised with glossy monochrome loafers and bag, while Ambrosio taken the grunge route with a sloppy, oversized army jacket, creating two very different vibes.
