As we wave goodbye to summer, Pantene is the answer to your hair’s woes. Pantene Pro-V Micellar Cleanse and Nourish Shampoo is an ideal product to gently cleanse your hair of impurities caused by pollution and the effects of UV damage. Plus, those searching for a “miraculous” conditioner to help repair the look of sun and styling-damaged hair need look no further than NEW Pantene Pro-V 3 Minute Miracle, a deep treatment in a daily conditioner that visibly repairs the signs of up to three months of damage in just three minutes!

City life, holidays, music festivals and the sun can leave hair feeling a little worse for wear.  Hair impurities from the air and shower water, combined with scalp oils and styling residue, can strip hair of its natural strength and free-flowing beauty. Metals like copper, calcium, magnesium, iron and aluminium can be absorbed into your hair, making it appear rough and dull: two things you do not want to take with you into autumn!

Pantene Pro-V Micellar Cleanse & Nourish Shampoo deeply cleanses your hair without stripping it, helping to repair the damage that city pollutants leave behind. Using a unique micelle based formula combined with Pro-V antioxidants, Micellar Cleanse & Nourish lifts mineral impurities. Pair with either the Cleanse & Nourish Conditioner for normal hair or the Cleanse & Nourish Foam Conditioner for fine hair, leaving tresses gently cleansed and beautifully conditioned.

If your hair needs a little more TLC, Pantene’s NEW 3 Minute Miracle contains the power of a deep treatment in a daily conditioner. The intense conditioner strengthens hair at the core, repairing up to three months of hair damage in just three minutes! Pantene Pro-V 3 Minute Miracle features up to 2x more conditioning ingredients than regular Pantene conditioners, providing outstanding hair smoothness and shine, while helping prevent split ends and frizz. Pair 3 Minute Miracle with our Repair & Protect Shampoo to complete the regimen for luscious, strong locks.

Why not embrace the changing seasons with an on-trend Autumnal hair look that were all over catwalks this fashion week? Pantene ambassador, Ben Cooke, has a step-by-step guide to achieving healthy, bouncy curls from wash to wear.

  • Wash your hair with Pantene Pro-V Micellar Cleanse & Nourish Shampoo, giving it the nourishment it needs without weighing it down.
  • Next, use Pantene Pro-V Micellar Cleanse & Nourish Conditioner or Foam Conditioner to give it lightweight nourishment. If your hair needs more TLC, use Pantene Pro-V 3 Minute Miracle Repair & Protect and rinse after 3 minutes. This intense daily conditioner will help repair the look of damage caused by heat and styling, leaving your hair free flowing and looking full of life.
  • After prepping your hair, you are ready to create bouncy curls that last. Twist your hair into sections and clip them up. This will help you curl each piece of hair without any tangles, plus it helps to encourage the curl to stay in place. Unroll each section individually and curl it around a large barrel tong.
  • Remove the tong, gently roll the curl around your fingers and pin it back in place. This will help set the curl perfectly. Repeat this for each section until all your hair is pinned.
  • Let all the curls cool down for approximately 15 minutes. Gently remove the clips and let the curl fall into place, gently combing through with a wide-tooth comb to loosen and add texture. Finish off with a light spray of Pantene Pro-V Volume and Body Hairspray to set in place and create beautiful, bouncy curls that will last all night!

Kate Middleton’s signature bouncy curls have been popular ever since she came into the public eye and you can actually re-create this gorgeous look at home by following these simple steps.

It is really important to always start by prepping your hair, I like to use the Wella Professional Velvet Amplifier. A few pumps of this velvety primer distributed through damp hair will make your hair much more manageable and allow your hair to hold its style all day. When blow drying your hair, you need to add as much volume as possible. It’s best to dry your hair away from your face to add lots of lift, you can even blow-dry your hair upside down for extra oomph.

Once your hair is dry, grab your curling iron to tong your hair section at a time, add some Wella Professional Thermal Image before styling to nourish your hair and protect it against the heat. As Kate’s curls are always bouncy, a curling tong with a bigger barrel tends to work best. Start from the top of your head and work towards your neck, making sure you curl your hair away from your face and remember not to touch the curls at this point.

With all of your hair tonged, take a pea sized amount of Wella Professional’s Luminous Smoothening Oil and work it through the ends of your hair to tame any flyaways and add that mirror shine that Kate Middleton wears so well. Whilst applying the oil to your ends, use your fingers to separate the curls and allow your hair to fall naturally.

As Kate’s hair looks smooth and glossy, you don’t want to add to much hairspray. To add just the right amount of hold, spray just a fine mist of Wella Professional’s Flexible Finish to hold your style without altering your finished look.

When it comes to having a trial run for your bridal hairstyle, it’s always a good idea to book this the same day as your dress fitting and makeup trial. The reason for this is that it gives the bride the chance to see their overall look there and then, rather than on the wedding day where she may not feel it looks right and it’s too late, as most often the stylist has left before the bride puts on their dress.

One of my favourite on trend bridal hairstyles for AW17 is the low ponytail. This look is chic and elegant and looks especially great when hair has been styled into loose waves before being put into a pony, giving it a more romantic look. Ponytails are great as there are styles to suit everyone, whether you want to have a textured ponytail or a more sleek style. Hair accessories are great for completing the look. The ribbon is one of the most on trend bridal accessories for the season and they perfectly with this look to secure the ponytail together and give it an extra bit of edge.

Buns and chignons are also popular bridal hairstyles for AW17. The chignon is a classic and looks great when worn low, whereas a bun can be worn low with some sections of hair left out for a relaxed look or can be worn high for a more sleek look. Again, these looks can be paired with on trend accessories such as embellished headbands and bejeweled brooches.

Big bouncy curls that have been popular with brides in previous years have been replaced with more relaxed, effortless waves for AW17. This is a very romantic look, which can be achieved either by using product, such as a texturising spray in natural hair, or by using flat irons or curlers. I’d always recommend brushing the hair out after using flat irons or curlers to give it a softer finish.

Thinning hair can be unavoidable, but using products with certain ingredients can help to rebuild your hair from the cuticle and add some body back into your hair.  Look out for hair masks and conditioners that have protein as this will work to rebuild each strand of hair and give a thicker appearance with more volume.

Avoid sleeping on a pillowcase made from rough fabric, instead opt for a silk finish. This will cause less damage to your hair when sleeping as there is less friction and less breakage.

Ross Charles, Owner of Ross Charles Hairdressing

Avoid tying your hair with tight hair bands and try to avoid pulling your hair back firmly into clips. Wearing your hair tied into a loose low bun will be more gentle on your hair, causing less damage, and your hair will appear thicker.

As a Trichologist, I would always advise avoiding over treating your hair and over styling. It is important to understand the stress and trauma your hair is facing as it thins, using too many treatments to try and thicken your hair can sometimes have the opposite effect. Always be gentle when you are washing and brushing your hair too.

Will Fleeson, Owner of Rainbow Room International Buchanan Street

If you are experiencing hair thinning, it is always good to avoid colouring your hair an extremely different shade to your natural colour. Adding some deep, rich shades that are close to your natural colour can make your hair look thicker, however adding too many very light or very dark tones can showcase your thin hair.

Philip Bell, Artistic Director at ISHOKA Hair and Beauty

If your hair is thinning, I would recommend styling it a bit messier, and curl rather than straighten it. Adding texture and volume when styling can disguise your fine hair, whereas if you wear it smooth and sleek your hair will appear more thin.

Suzie McGill, Schwarzkopf UK Ambassador, Scottish Hairdresser of the Year and Owner of Rainbow Room International Uddingston

Try not to let too much time go past before you visit your hair salon for a trim. Thin hair with dead or split ends can look sparse and unflattering. Make sure you have your ends regularly trimmed and use heated styling tools as little as possible.

Kim Kardashian was sporting some seriously long sleek locks recently, which we loved. However, the key to this look is definitely healthy hair in great condition. With a blend of three essential oils, Envy Professional Super Oil 3 helps to keep hair silky smooth whilst nourishing and moisturising. This hero product even has built in sunscreen to prevent any colour fading whilst keeping your hair super straight.

Spring/Summer 2017 is set to see pastel hair colours bloom. Pale shades of pink, blue and lilac were huge on the catwalk at London Fashion Week and the trend isn’t going anywhere. Using of pastels is a softer way to stay on trend with brightly coloured hair this season.

To get the look you can opt for one all over shade or for the ultimate pastel look mix contrasting colours, pinks and lilacs go especially well together. Crazy Color®’s Peach Coral paired with Crazy Color® Marshmallow or Crazy Color® Candyfloss are some of our favourite combo’s. Helen Mirren and Hilary Duff are just a couple of celebrities who have rocked this look.

Blue’s are also soft yet edgy, and this colour tends to work well on all natural hair colours and with the range of shades available it is one of the most versatile. The go to shade to achieve this look at home is Crazy Color® Bubblegum Blue. Like Kylie Jenner showed us, this also looks great with a stretched or darker toned root.

Pastel shades look great in braids and are perfect for the upcoming festival season which is just around the corner. Once you’ve braved the change and gone your favourite pastel shade, tie the hair into a fishtail or French braid and your look is complete!
